Bird Surveys

Bird surveys are scheduled six times a year, on the third Sunday of every second month, 9am-11am, monitoring species and numbers of birds using the Australian Bird Atlas survey regime and logging results onto global database eBird. Leader is Dianne Emslie. Binoculars and field guides are available to borrow.
All welcome.

Four areas are surveyed:

  • Trin Warren Tam-boore Wetlands Storage Pond
  • Wetlands Treatment Pond
  • Creekline and Skink Habitat Site
  • Bushland escarpment and Ross Straw Fields

Meeting place is the Trin Warren Tam-boore car park, Oak Street, Parkville West; please arrive at 8:45am.
